Due to its central location you can get to Budapest Zoo easily in several ways.
We advise you to avoid busy traffic and parking difficulties: hop on a bike or use the public transport. (The Széchenyi Fürdő underground stop is only 3 minutes' walk. )
With public transport
Take the yellow Metro line/Underground/M1 to "Széchenyi Fürdő" stop. It is only a 2 minutes walk,
or take Trolley 72 to "Állatkert" stop,
or take Trolley 75 or 79 to "Gundel Károly út" stop,
or take bus 20E, 30, 30A, 105 or 230 to Hősök Tere stop (Heroes' Square).

Those arriving by car - or motorcycle - can choose from several parking options. They can use the Zoo Park in the zoo, or they can park in the public parking spaces of the Zoo boulevard and the surrounding streets.
Parkoló ZOOna - The zoo parking ZOOna is located at the end of Állatkerti körút towards Hermina út (Állatkerti krt. 16.).
The prices for parking in the parking lot, which can be used from 0 to 24 hours:
On weekdays (from 6 in the morning to 10 in the evening) HUF 350 / hour started. On weekday nights (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.), the parking fee is HUF 250 per hour.
On weekends during the day (from 6 am to 10 pm) HUF 450 / hour started.
On weekend nights (from 10 pm to 6 am), the parking fee is HUF 350 per hour.
All-day parking costs HUF 3,500/day on weekdays and HUF 4,500/day on weekends.
Monthly parking pass HUF 29,900, valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, on working days between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. It can be purchased with a bank card from the ticket machine at the gate booth of the Holnemvol Castle gate (next to the monument carousel).
The parking fees mentioned above are per vehicle. Among the entrances to the Zoo, the Carousel gate (next to the monument carousel) is the closest to the Parkoló ZOO-na. However, there is no cash desk at this gate, only a ticket machine.
In accordance with the law, a receipt will be issued when making a purchase at the vending machine located in the parking lot. If you require an invoice, please let us know 8 days before parking at the e-mail address jegy@zoobudapest.com. Please note that it is not possible to issue a subsequent invoice after a purchase at the machine according to the currently valid legislation. If the customer does not request the issuance of an invoice when the receipt is issued, in this case by e-mail before parking, the Zoo legally fulfills its obligation to provide proof with a receipt. After that, you cannot be obliged to issue an invoice in addition to a receipt. Only one type of receipt (invoice or receipt) can be issued for a transaction.
Dear car owners, we ask that you expect congestion when entering and exiting the Parking ZOOna at some frequented times, during major events. In such cases, arriving and exiting the parking area can take up to 30-40 minutes due to the traffic jam.
Please be tolerant of each other, as everyone has the same goal, to drive in a good mood and safely, to keep your car safe even during the special events.
Please note that all vehicles parking irregularly will be shackled and fined by the local authorities regardless of time and day. Please keep the traffic rules and have a nice time!
