Rhino family moved to new enclosures with success
2008. April 17.
After taking 50 meters walk from the giraffes’ house to the new exhibit, Layla and parents, Lulu and Easyboy can now experience a modern and comfortable home at the nearly finished Savanna Park.
The walk took 20 minutes for “baby” Layla, 1 hour for Easyboy, and – as expected by keepers and veterinarians - almost one week for Lulu. During the walk, with continuous assistance of the keepers, Layla drank 15 liters of milk, while parents were fed with vegetables and fruits to make the transfer more stressless. The artificial walkway was built up with help from the State Motorway Management Co. Ltd.
